Marie Ont., Canada, educated at Carleton University in Ottawa, and has spent the last 10 years of his career at the Edmonton Sun newspaper in Edmonton where he is the senior feature writer and a humor columnist who finds any excuse he can to write about golf. Over the years he has reported on everything from dog sled races in the Arctic to sailing in the British Virgin Islands.

Norman Kjono	Norm Kjono is a FORCES member from Washington State who is dedicating himself to the fight against the use of taxpayers' dollars for promoting hatred and contempt towards target groups of citizens. His background includes 13 years in the U.S. Navy, including service in Vietnam and submarine service. Mr. Kjono has been self-employed as an expert witness in stock and bond fraud litigation for the past 15 years.
Warren Klass	Warren Klass is the President of Forces Canada. He has a B.A. from the University of Winnipeg, and two honors degrees from the University of Manitoba. He was formerly a Grad student and teaching assistant at the University of Manitoba in the field of German history. James Leavey	James Leavey, British correspondent of FORCES, is the Editor of The Forest Guide to Smoking in London and The Forest Guide to Smoking in Scotland, left British Telecommunications in 1990 after a decade in international marketing and PR and has since written from a growing list of publications including the European, Daily Express, the Independent, Daily Mirror, Radio Times and ES magazine. He has also broadcast on BBC Radio 4's Breakaway, Going Places and Pick of the Week and worked as stagehand with the English National Opera, been a West End cinema doorman, a coconut ice maker and trained as an actor and teacher. In 1995, he edited Taylors Corporate Northern Ireland, the first major independent business guide to the province and now edits The Humidor, a cigar newsletter published by JJ Fox (St. James's) Ltd.
Pierre Lemieux	Born in Sherbrooke, Québec, Professor Pierre Lemieux is an economist, author, teacher, and consultant. His books, some published by major Parisian publishers such as the Presses Universitaires de France, have been translated into many languages. He has been cited in works of political theory and in encyclopaedias as a reference point for the new liberal thought. Pierre Lemieux is also a frequent contributor to the Canadian, French and American press. His web site, Subversive Liberty, is as entertaining and charming as the man. Enoch Ludlow	From birth in North Carolina's Duke University, a great school built by a tobacco fortune, to present employment in the public health establishment, Enoch Ludlow has been linked to tobacco and the war against its use for a good portion of his life. As a resident of San Francisco he is a front row observer of government health hysteria and the disastrous consequences of its usurpation of American liberty.
John Luik	John Luik was educated on a Rhodes Scholarship at the University of Oxford where he obtained degrees in philosophy and Politics (BA,MA,D Phil.). He has taught philosophy and politics at several universities, been a Senior Associate of the Niagara institute with responsibility for its work in public policy and its Values and Organizational Development programmes, and worked as a consultant for a number of governmental institutions, professional organizations and corporations.
Rosalind Marimont	Rosalind B. Marimont is a retired mathematician and scientist, having done research and development for NIST (or the Bureau of Standards (NBS), as it was then) for 18 years, until 1960, and NIH for another 19, until her retirement in 1979. She started in electronics defense work during World War II at NBS, then went on to the logical design of the early digital computers during the fifties. In 1960, she moved to NIH, and there studied and published papers on human vision, speech, and other biomathematical subjects. Since her retirement she has been active in health policy issues - first, the treatment of chronic pain by integrated mind/body methods, and second, the dishonest war on smoking which has corrupted scientific research and gravely disorted the nation's health priorities. For more than fifty years she has read and evaluated many kinds of scientific studies, and has sometimes served as a reviewer for scientific journals.
Michael McFadden	Michael J. McFadden grew up in Brooklyn in the 1960s and graduated cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Manhattan College with a degree in both Peace Studies and Psychology. He went on to study statistics and propaganda analysis under a doctoral fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton program in Peace Research. He left the University after two years to host a Quaker training center in non-violent social change and has worked at various levels in the areas of peace activism and social change ever since. His activities have ranged from public transportation advocacy to being commissioned by the Queen of England to conduct training workshops in Canada. Aside from writing, his most recent endeavors have included such diverse things as canvassing door-to-door for SANE/FREEZE and coordinating educational conferences in the cyberspatial environs of America Online. Mr. McFadden currently lives and bicycles in West Philadelphia where he shares a small row house with a very noisy cat and a very quiet squirrel.
Steven Milloy	Steven J. Milloy is the publisher of JunkScience.com, an adjunct scholar at the Cato Institute, and a columnist for FoxNews.com. Milloy holds a B.A. in Natural Sciences from the Johns Hopkins University, a Master of Health Sciences in Biostatistics from the Johns Hopkins University School of Hygiene and Public Health, a Juris Doctorate from the University of Baltimore, and a Master of Laws from the Georgetown University Law Center. Milloy has testified on risk assessment and Superfund before the U.S. Congress; and has lectured before numerous organizations.
Martha Perske	Martha Perske is an award-winning illustrator and stamp designer. As a private citizen, she has spent the last several years investigating the ETS issue, as well as the distortion and corruption of scientific and statistical data by anti-smoking funds-motivated scientists and institutions. Martha is known for her meticulous and exacting work. She is a member of several Smokers' Rights Groups, including FORCES.
Jacob Sullum	Jacob Sullum is a senior editor of Reason, a monthly magazine on politics and culture. He writes about a wide range of issues, including smokers rights, drug policy, gun control, censorship, privacy, education, and religious freedom. Sullum is a graduate of Cornell University, where he majored in economics and psychology. He lives in Northern Virginia with his wife and daughter.
The Renegade Smoker	Derf, The Renegade Smoker, is a Republicrat with no political affiliation. He has spent years looking for a place to enjoy a smoke. In the late 80's, he copyrighted the THANK YOU FOR SMOKING logo. Born in Norton, Virginia, he now lives with his wife, Annie, high in the Rocky Mountains - in the smoking section. Although Derf went to college, he may try to tell you that he "quit school after spending 3 years in the fifth Grade, and the Principal wanted his parking space back." Derf drives a 1962 Mini and a 1969 Austin, wears Fruit of the Loom Tighty Whiteys, and flies model airplanes. He doesn't appreciate people telling him to take his money elsewhere just because he happens to enjoy smoking!
Gian Turci	FORCES Canada founder Gian Turci has been writing in two languages about smokers' rights and against junk science for the past eight years, during a period when the Tobacco Wars have escalated and their adverse effects on the lives and liberties of ordinary citizens have become rampant. Walter Williams	Walter Williams is also the author of several books. Among these are The State Against Blacks, later made into a television documentary, America: A Minority Viewpoint, All It Takes Is Guts, and South Africa's War On Capitalism. In 1981, he began writing his weekly column called "A Minority View" for Heritage Features Syndicate. And in 1991, he joined Creators Syndicate as part of its friendly takeover of Heritage Features. Williams sits on many advisory boards, including the Review Board of Economics Studies for the National Science Foundation, the Research Foundation, the National Tax Limitation Committee, the Taxpayer's Foundation and the Hoover Institution.
